Wood and Knife: A Basic Carving Project Day

June 30, 2018, 9:30am–4:30pm, Outside Sebastopol

Through carving a Swedish-style wooden Butter/Jam Knife (smör kniv), you’ll learn knife grips and cuts (as well as safety and sharpening), how to work with the grain of the wood, and finishing techniques.

This will be the first class in a series…


Wood and Knife: Make A Strop Day

July 1, 2018, 9:30am–4:30pm, Outside Sebastopol

Make your own strop (for keeping your knife perfectly sharp) while practicing your knife grips and cuts. Learn to carve your own decorative mark too!

Wood and leather for the project provided, as my gift.

Pre-requsite: Basic Carving Day
(learn knife grips/cuts and working with grain)
