Cosmic Update
Greetings Keeper of Time,
I wrote these first few paragraphs last week, but it bears repeating, as today is the day!
On today’s Summer Solstice, Sun rests on the pointy-toed boot of a Gemini Twin, at the crossroads where the yellow road of the planets meets the white road of the Milky Way in the midst of the Sacred Hoop that portals the edge of our galaxy in opening to the vast velvety blackess beyond, rising and setting at the northernmost cornerposts of the sacred house of the Sun and Moon.
Go out for sunrise and sunset (works tomorrow too) and find these cornerposts where the Sun rises and sets this time of year in your world. Orient your body and being to living and being at home here on Earth, in our solar system, in our galaxy, in the known and seen Universe. Begin to become indigenous to here, now!
Late tonight (into early Sunday, depending on where you are), New Moon darkens Sun, bringing an annular Ring of Fire Solar Eclipse, at 0º Cancer, visible in east-central Africa, Arabia, Pakistan, Northern India, and Southern China. This reset has Originating Wizards remembering ancestral homelands, and considering becoming at home in our solar system and galaxy.
There is sooo much more than the seeming Human here. When we wake up inside of this and converse with the Universe we can become people and nations in revolutionarily different ways!
Mercury retrograde is in effect too (since Thursday), in Cancer, reinforcing these Cancerian themes of Family, Home, and Ancestors. Themes related to our sense of security are also prominent.
Neptune in Pisces has slowed to a pause and goes Retrograde on Monday, until late November. This is a pause that asks for rest, for dreaming, for re-storying. Amidst all that’s unfolding, we must find ways to integrate this rest so that our psyches can grieve, connect with spirit, and replenish.
We’re still in the midst of a Storm of Integration for the coming week, and Jupiter conjunct Pluto in Capricorn is drawing to exactitude, so the atmospheric pressure builds! Deep structural beliefs are dying and beginning to renew. How we journey in life and from where in our beings too. This can be can be deeply daunting. The backed up waste and debris of our unexamined beliefs needs to be rooted out and flushed. We must deal. We need to keep with the hard work of cleaning out the basement of the unattended to dregs of our white patriarchal socialization, both within ourselves and the world in which we live. And, when we do, it can bring greater expansiveness.
This is the second coming together of this duo, the first being back in April with the first big wave of deaths from Covid. This could easily be another as Jupiter expands and Pluto brings death, also Neptune is stationing. Saturn (with its restrictiveness) moving out of the air (breathing) sign of Aquarius might help. Regardless, we need to take care of ourselves!
Venus has emerged in the east, rising before the Sun as Morning Star, higher and brighter by the day, and shining near Aldebaran, the red eye of the Bull. On Wednesday, Venus in Gemini (astrologically) goes direct, and some of this learning to make friends with love begins to be journeyed more directly.
Jupiter and Saturn can be seen rising in the east before midnight as they get ready to arrive in the evening sky scene throughout summer. Mars is high toward the south just before dawn.
